HIP OPENER WORKSHOP

*Clean out your emotional junk drawer* Why are hips considered the “emotional junk drawer”? Our hips can store tension, stress, and trauma. These stressors tend to pile up and cause tightness, physical and emotional. Why do we have tight hips? There are many factors that contribute to tightness in hips which include sitting for extended periods of time, excessive lower body workouts, and/or a weak core. The psoas, which connects the upper body and lower body, is one of the main culprits due to its link with the adrenal glands. If the psoas is tight this may be causing lower back pain and hip pain. What can you do? Join Keely for a 90 minute hip-opening class. You will move your body slowly while gently working your hips front, back, and side-to-side. You will come out feeling relaxed and knowing simple strategies for releasing tightness in your hips. *assisted savasana and a cool lavender towel will be provided* November 9th, 3-4:30pm At Align Barre & Fitness
