Service Description

Qigong, pronounced “chi gong” was developed in China thousands of years ago as part of traditional Chinese medicine. Qigong involves using exercises and movements to optimize energy within the body, mind and spirit, with the goal of improving and maintaining health, vitality and well-being. People practice Qigong for many different reasons, including recreation, exercise, relaxation, self-cultivation and rejuvenation. Practitioners range from athletes and martial artists to people with disabilities. Because Qigong is low impact it can be done sitting or standing. No experience necessary. Each Qigong Flow class is made up of easy playful movements practiced in loops and repetitions to get you into a mindful flow. Qigong Flow is a mindful movement meditation which declutters the mind through the repetition of graceful movements. This is an opportunity to get your body moving in the way of internal martial arts without the discipline of the more traditional styles of martial arts.
